Uggla Engineering Oy has acquired a majority stake in the Swedish Kompetenskonsult Sverige AB

Uggla Engineering Oy, established in 2022 and part of the service company Barona, has acquired a majority stake in Kompetenskonsult Sverige AB, part of the Swedish Kompetenslaget Group. Kompetenskonsult is a company focused on project management, HSE services, and technical consulting in basic industries. It currently employs about twenty people in various projects, mainly in northern Sweden.  

Due to the acquisition of Uggla Engineering Oy, which specializes in project management and installation supervision services, will become the majority owner of Kompentenskonsult and the name of Kompetenskonsult will be changed to Uggla Engineering.

Andreas Haara, CEO of Kompetenskonsult will continue as the company's CEO. Peter Strand, one of the company's main shareholders, will continue as a member of the company's Board of Directors. Jussi Yli-Niemi, Senior Vice President, Project Businesses at Barona, will take over as Chairman of the Board of Directors.  

Uggla Engineering and Kompetenskonsult, and Barona will strengthen their service offering in the Swedish market and seek strong growth.
