We are looking for Automation Engineer for our client ABB Oy Marine and Ports. The position is located in Helsinki. The position is permanent, and the employment contract will be signed between the employee and Barona Teollisuus Oy. We hope you could start in the position during January 2023.

As Automation Engineer you will be working with Azipod propulsion control systems. You are in response of product software in projects which include project engineering, testing (internal testing and factory acceptance tests) and commissioning related tasks.

You also ensure that the quality of the products are filled and met with the project requirements. You have a great opportunity to participate in developing test processes and simulation.

We expect you to have:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in relevant field of study, e.g. automation or control engineering
  • Previous experience from PLC-based control systems and IEC61131-3 programming
  • Hands-on experience is valued
  • Fluency in English, Finnish is an advantage
  • Great problem-solving skills and proactivity

We value previous experience in industrial automation and marine industry. Experience of drives, ABB 800xA or other DCS systems are an advantage.

In this position you will work in international environment and participate in developing new technology and products. You will have a supporting team around you.
