Chef, Restaurant Solitary, Summer Job

The work starts in May, no later than mid-month, and continues until the end of August. If the collaboration goes well, there is a possibility to continue in the role into autumn. The minimum working hours are 90h/3 weeks, but additional hours are available if desired. Your working hours will be determined according to the restaurant's opening hours from Monday to Sunday.

Solitary's cuisine is based on local ingredients and changes with the seasons. Craftsmanship and respect for raw materials are at the core of our work. At Solitary, you will have the opportunity to take on a variety of tasks, including mise en place preparations, breakfast cooking, and à la carte dishes. The job requires professional skills and experience, but you don’t need to be a top expert yet – we provide training and guidance as needed. However, a solid background in à la carte cooking is an advantage.

The working language is English, so proficiency is essential. Applicants are also required to have a hygiene passport and a health certificate. Having access to your own car is beneficial but not mandatory, as carpooling can be arranged if needed.

Restaurant Solitary is committed to using local ingredients, and everything is made from scratch. In your role, you will prepare dishes featuring high-quality ingredients such as Finnish heritage breed cattle (kyyttö), venison, local fish, crayfish, as well as wild mushrooms and herbs. Salary is determined based on experience and salary expectations, with the Marava collective agreement as a basis.
