We are looking for a results-driven and committed HR specialist to join our enthusiastic International Recruitment team. Our team supports with global recruitment operations the Industry sector mainly, but also HoReCa, Logistics, Engineering, Construction, and other departments from Finland, Sweden or Norway.

As our new HR specialist, you will be responsible for recruiting and retaining the international workforce, including dealing with relocation and onboarding activities. You will be the specialist writing and publishing job advertisements on various channels, reviewing job applications, interviewing candidates, selecting suitable candidates, and making hiring proposals. You will also be in charge of smooth and functional enrolment of foreign employees – supporting new starters with their residence permit applications, guiding and assisting with authorities’ registrations, explaining the local employment rules, and coordinating their accommodation arrangements. Also, in your role you will manage the day-to-day communication with the workers, solving employment-related issues, as well as acting as a liaison between employees and HR managers. Shortly speaking, the role is a combination of recruiting and dealing with embarking employees to the Finnish work-life system.

You will work in close collaboration with our colleagues from the payroll and relocation departments, as well as with other Barona units across Finland and abroad (Poland and Slovakia). You might also be in direct contact with some of our customers.

Currently, we are working in a hybrid model, so we are flexible with your location. We will also make sure that you will have the proper tools and set-up, for a smooth induction and work. The work is done mainly during office hours, but this position requires flexibility and occasional adjustment in terms of working time. We will start with a 1-year contract length, with real possibility of prolongation after that.

You work perfectly in English or Finnish language. Other foreign language skills add extra credit to your application (f.e Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Slovak, Romanian).

In addition, we expect you to have:

  • Previous experience in an HR role
  • Experience with recruitment in the industrial field and/ or Industry background is highly desired. This will help you to understand better our customers’ needs and meet them in the most efficient way.
  • Knowledge of Finnish labor law, taxation, and social security systems
  • Good understanding of the needs and challenges of foreign employees and addressing related to it issues in a prompt and professional manner
  • Coordination and organization skills
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear and coherent guidance, in both written and verbal communication
  • B driving license and availability to drive according to projects’ requirements
