We are now looking for a Manager, ESG Reporting to join our Group Controlling team in Helsinki, Finland.

We are now looking for a Manager, ESG Reporting to our Group Controlling Team who would be strengthening us in our Group Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting and related process development. You would deliver and analyse KPIs related to EU Taxonomy disclosures and participate on our Green Bond reporting. With a strong financial background and interest towards sustainability topics you would also contribute to alignment of ESG-reporting processes with the financial reporting framework. You would be acting as liaison between Finance and Responsibility teams and foster collaboration and alignment between these areas. What You Will Do

Corporate ESG reporting: Participate in the preparation of the sustainability related disclosures in accordance with ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), EU Taxonomy and Green Bond reporting. Follow disclosure requirements related to sustainability reporting and ensure consistency between IFRS financial statements and non-financial information.

ESRS reporting process development: Further develop UPM’s ESG reporting processes which aim for high efficiency, data quality, consistency and reliability in accordance with the ESRS, EU Taxonomy and other relevant requirements together with Responsibility team. Develop reporting policies and guidelines to integrate ESG reporting process within the existing financial closing and reporting process.

Audit and controls: Initiate and build adequate internal controls and ensure complete and accurate ESG reporting data for both limited and reasonable assurance together with the Responsibility team.

Who You Are

  • You have a minimum 5+ years’ experience in financial reporting and process development, business controlling, auditing, ESG assurance or internal control development with the interest towards ESG reporting.
  • You have a relevant educational background e.g. M.Sc in Accounting.
  • You have a strong understanding and experience of financial data, audit trails, controls and reporting.
  • You have worked in/with a large international company with global reporting processes.
  • You own interest towards sustainability topics including reporting & metrics, with understanding of the overall corporate sustainability area.
  • You have a can-do attitude and you are initiative and willing to drive changes in the organization.
  • You are fluent in English and Finnish.
  • Experience from Group Reporting is seen as a benefit.
