Vamia Stainless-project promotes the employment of English-speaking individuals in technology companies in the Vaasa region by offering components of machine and production technology qualifications through apprenticeship training. Through this project, students and employers receive support and guidance as they transition to gradual apprenticeships, facilitating genuine integration into the workforce. Language proficiency development is at the core. The operational project enhances participants’ employability and encourages companies to hire foreign-language workforce.

During your studies, you will complete mechanical and production engineering studies and get a job through an apprenticeship contract, and you will complete 45 credit points related to specific parts of the degree. The study program includes both classroom-based learning and an apprenticeship, provided the right apprenticeship position is available. The focus of the studies will be on machining, welding, and installation, with additional topics such as CNC and robotics.

Requirements:

  • Experience or previous education from an industrial field.
  • Good English skills.
  • A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • We hope the applicant already lives in the Vaasa region.
