HR Assistant, Kotka CAM Plant

As the CAM plant project in Kotka progresses, we are looking for an HR Assistant for a versatile, permanent position. The initial location is in Helsinki, with a transfer to Kotka in about a year. Remote work may become an option later on.
The CAM plant project is driven by Easpring Finland New Materials Oy, established in 2024. It is 70% owned by the publicly listed Beijing Easpring Material Technology Co., Ltd, and 30% by Finnish Minerals Group. Founded in 2001, Beijing Easpring is one of the world's leading developers, manufacturers, and suppliers of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Finnish Minerals Group, on the other hand, is a state-owned special-purpose company building a responsible mining and battery value chain in Finland.
The initial investment in the CAM factory in Kotka is estimated at approximately €774 million, with production expected to meet the annual needs of over 750,000 fully electric vehicles. The factory's production capacity can be expanded in the future. Once completed, the factory will employ around 300 people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with international assignments, including managing visa, Kela, and ID card processes
- Supporting recruitment processes by drafting job advertisements and coordinating interviews
- Maintaining employee records and assisting with onboarding and other employment-related matters
- Collaborating with finance and country organizations on administrative tasks
- Providing support in payroll and benefits administration
- Organizing and supporting employee engagement activities
- Assisting the HR Manager in developing HR processes and other related initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- A suitable educational background, such as BBA or a related field
- Proficiency in Finnish and English for effective communication with various stakeholders and handling diverse tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle confidential information with discretion
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop within the HR field
