We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join ITAB Finland Oy and Oy Checkmark Ltd, both part of the ITAB Group. In this role, you will be responsible for People & Culture and HR aspects related to both the Jyväskylä (Vaajakoski) and Pieksämäki factories. ITAB is the largest player in its field in Finland, known for its customer-centric approach and adaptability to customer needs. This position is permanent, and you can start working quickly or after the summer holidays. The recruitment partner for this role is Barona Engineering.

HR Business Partner is responsible for all HR related issues, designing HR initiatives, and ensuring strict adherence to labor laws and regulations in Finland. This multifaceted position encompasses operational execution, strategic planning and collaboration with international HR counterparts. The HR Business Partner is part of the Nordic HR team.

Roles & Responsibilities

For employee development, you will provide support to Supervisors in navigating daily HR challenges. You'll create and implement training programs, coordinating training sessions as needed, and develop a comprehensive HR Handbook covering all facets of the employee lifecycle. Additionally, you'll offer guidance on interpreting labor laws and regulations, particularly regarding working hours.

In process enhancement, your role will involve developing and refining reporting procedures pertaining to recruitment and HR metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes, localizing global policies into actionable, region-specific guidelines, and collaborating with colleagues to streamline operational procedures for efficiency.

In Talent acquisition, you will strategize and execute recruitment plans to attract top-tier candidates. This involves close collaboration with hiring managers to discern staffing requirements, conducting comprehensive interviews, screening candidates, and managing the selection process while maintaining compliance with labor legislation throughout the recruitment cycle.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, ensuring accuracy in time entries and leave management. You'll also prepare and analyze comprehensive P&C reports, incorporating both existing and novel metrics, while demonstrating strategic thinking, independent problem-solving skills, and a Holistic understanding of HR operations. Collaboration with different teams, including interaction with the Management team, is key, and you should be able to work independently while fostering effective teamwork.

Qualifications

The role requires University level education or Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources or a relevant field, along with proficiency in written and spoken English and Finnish. However, the main working language is Finnish. A service-oriented mindset, attention to detail, proactive approach, adaptability to dynamic challenges, and a firm and assertive demeanor are essential attributes for success in this role.
